Citizenship, Health, Drugs, Sex and Relationship and Careers Guidance Education form an important part of the work in PSHCE.
Pupils are encouraged to reflect upon their academic work and behaviour to set targets for the future.
PSHCE is concerned with the process of learning as well as the product, addressing needs and values of the school, community and society. It prepares pupils for adult life, enabling a smooth transition through school and into the world of work and further education.
PSHCE is linked with many areas of the curriculum. It is also concerned with the reflection and discussion of topical, political, moral, financial, social and cultural issues.
