Google Classroom – What work will be set and when?

Monday 1 June – Friday 5

June

Monday 8 June onwards

Work will be scheduled by teachers to go live on Monday morning. The first piece of work will be a one-off lesson with tasks to last 45 minutes in total. All subjects will set work, except Values. Work is to be submitted on Google Classroom by 5pm on Friday 5 June. Pupils can work following the order on Google Classroom or follow their own timetable. Work can be submitted at any time during the week, but before 5pm on Friday 5 June. Pupils can contact their teachers safely and securely via Google Classroom for guidance should they need to.

Year 10

Pupils should actively engage with the careers work via the Google Classroom class that has been established. This will help pupils in their next steps towards Post 16 education, training and employment.


Year 9 & 10

Pupils will be set an amount of work equivalent to the number of lessons for that week in the timetable. Lessons will consist of 45 minutes of work. Work will be scheduled to go live to pupils by Monday at 8am of each week. All BTEC & GCSE (exam) subjects will set 1 piece of work to be submitted for feedback every week. Feedback to pupils will be provided. Teachers will set the date for work to be submitted and inform pupils in the instructions of the tasks.


Year 7 & 8

English, Maths and Science will set two lessons per week. Pupils will be asked to submit 1 piece of work each week for feedback. Feedback will be provided.


History, Geography, MFL and Technology will set work for one lesson per week. Pupils will be asked to submit 1 piece of work each fortnight for feedback. Feedback will be provided.


Art, Music, Drama, RE, IT and PE will set work for one lesson per week. Pupils will be asked to submit 1 piece of work by 6 July for feedback.


Teachers will set the date for work to be submitted and inform pupils in the instructions of the tasks.
